   There are some legit jobs like this offered sometimes on ebay but all the rest are just scams to get your money and run.

   I’m in the same boat as you, all the work sounds like scams and or cold calls.

   There is a difference between work from home opportunities, and home based business opportunities. If you really are going to work for a company from home to get paid, you are not suppose to pay a fee. Any company that promotes work from home opportunity and then ask you to pay for the materials first, run away. There are very few companies offering real work from home.

   On the other hand, there are many business opportunities out there. Lots of scams. I have been working my business from home since 2004. Because it is a business, I have to consider cost of time. The business I have been promoting since 2004, cost me $10 a month for my website and then I have only use free advertising, social media and networks to grow my business. So what you need in this case is good guidance, and focus. If you decide to pursue a home business like I did, you want focus. Don’t get distracted and before you know it, you are building a good residual income. Make thousands a month with this $10 business.    The best thing I can think of for you is to go around frequently to your family members, friends, and neighbors and collect as many used cell phones and ipods as possible and then visit: http://www.cellitused.com and sell the stuff to this company. If you send them phones once a week then you can probably make $500 + a month. It also looks good because you are trying to help the environment as well. Most people just throw their used cell phones in a closet, drawer, or trash so it is actually pretty easy to collect them.

   It partly depends on what you want to do and what your passions are. I have a home based business opportunity that allows you to work from home. But yes there are start up costs, why, because starting a business is an investment. I sell education on how to become an entrepreneur and be your own boss. Education is not something that will get replaced by the next best thing. You can make money in return by selling the product or learn the skills to be a business consultant, or sell other products. It opens up a lot of avenues.

   While I do think the company I’m with is the best, there are many different opportunities out there. Be careful, do your due diligence in investigating them. Don’t ask your friends and neighbors, ask people that are involved with the company, or try to find people that were with the company. Also just because you see scam in a search engine associated with it doesn’t mean 100% that it is a scam…. using the term scam is also a advertising and marketing tactic either to boost attention to a program or steal the attention from a successful company.

   When looking at opportunities, don’t just pick any offer or any company. Do some research, see if their values are inline with yours. Make sure they offer products you agree with and believe in.

   Something else you should do is go to ted.com and look up gary vaynerchuk, watch his videos and think about what you want to do and what your passions are. Follow your passions and eventually the money will follow.
